Asatru Drama

Posted on 27 November 2009 by NNN Admin

The Mage Guild, Asatru, is going through some mild drama at the moment it appears. Luko, an Asatru member, has been kicked out of the guild for apparently disobeying the guild’s policies. The incident apparently happened in-game at one of the NPC towns. Luko, from what Aurastorm says in the Asatru thread, was calling “guard” on grey flagged players without provocation. Aurastorm called the incident, “faggotry”. He had the following to say in his guild thread.

Luko is hereby no longer in Asatru due to faggotry. The place that he is leaving behind will not be replaced with another member… ou called guards on numerous players that were grey for reasons that were not their own. That is not the honourable and respectable path we expect someone in Asatru to take, and you are therefore out of the guild.

We are an elite guild and we do not tolerate players that act like cocks in-game for no reason.
This is no longer up for discussion, carry on everyone else

Upon a request for more information by NNN via Mortal Online Forums private message, Aurastorm denied to reply to any of our inquires, as is his right. Luko, the accused, strongly denies any of the charges, even denying that he is even in the beta. NNN decided to go to Luko directly and he had this to say in a PM correspondence when asked about the incident.

I really have no idea where this is coming from, I don’t even play MO yet. I don’t like to be accused of things that I have not done. I don’t mind being kicked out but I would at least like some explanation other than ’sources within Asatru’. I haven’t even talked to any of them on vent or anything.

Its really dumbfounding.

Aurastorm, recently made a new post on the Asatru guild thread saying that he would be willing to keep Luko due to him not personally experiencing the incident. Saying he was sorry for any disturbance it may have caused to Luko.

Well, i can keep you in based on the fact that i haven’t actually seen this event unfold myself. Sorry about the disruption that it may have caused you

Luko has yet to respond to the offer, but after the words exchanged, it is the opinion of this writer, that any reunion will be a touchy one at best. As further developments happen, NNN will be there to report them. If you want to see this thread for yourself, please look for the Asatru Guild on MOFO’s guild discussion forum. Operation: Crispy Sausage

Posted on 24 November 2009 by NNN Admin

A couple of weeks ago, November 13th specifically, Trystram of Variance released a thread detailing the “glorious world first victory” of the destruction of some homes. They called it “Operation Crispy Sausage” as it took place near Sausage Lake.

The guilds of Variance, RPB, Mahtisoturit were all involved in the operation that occurred near the shores of Sausage Lake. Two homes were destroyed in the raid and reduced to ruins. The deed was carried out soon after the housing patch was released and was done solely with starter axes.

The two houses fell easily too our naked bodies and mighty starter axes.

Trystram posted pictures of the operation in the act and the resulting destruction. This writer does note though, that the pictures detail an earlier version of the housing system. The house models and ruins in the pictures that are posted, are no longer in use at this time. The posted pictures range from people actively hitting the houses to the resulting destruction and shots of the ruins.

As expected by everyone I think, the posts following Trystram’s original vary from support, to condemnation, to whining; as is the nature of MMOs. Some condemned it due to the fact that this is beta, giving the reason that for testing purposes these players should have been allowed to finish their homes. This front was led initially by forum poster, Zizzy.

I never raged over internet but this is a perfect time to start.

WHY THE *CENSURE* ARE YOU *CENSURE* *CENSURE* DOING THAT?! IT’S NOT JUST A TOWN, IT’S FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME YOU’RE GOING TO PLAY.

We have to build a crowded city so that we can see how can a server handle that, and improve the game. You’re just destroying it for everyone.

I HOPE YOU’LL SIT ACCIDENTALLY SIT ON YOUR BALLS SOMEDAY. GOOD DAY SIR.

Other posters, gave their support for the operation. Such as Khyaine, the lead Community Moderator.

Except that the entire mechanic needs to be tested. It’s all part of a full loot, full pvp game.

We couldn’t have achieved the same result if people built close together – didn’t build half finished homes – worked as a team to achieve their objective.

If you place your foundation down in the middle of no where to reserve your spot and to be the quickest in getting a house built, you will, without any doubt whatsoever, find your nemisis, your opposite, looking for that house to destroy.

Five naked guys with zero skills and newbie axes brought down two houses within about half an hour. That’s some really important testing right there if you ask me.

I’m sincerely surprised to see the complaning. It’s all part of this game. This is what you’ve signed up for.

To see more about this thread, please check it out in the Mortal Online Political Forums. Within the thread you can find the pictues posted by Trystram and other various participants of the operation. In addition you will find quite a few more opinions and accounts of what happened that night. If you have any comments about this article, please leave a post below!

Anno Domini Revival

Posted on 27 October 2009 by NNN Admin

Keltic, the original founder of Anno Domini, has decided to revive and rebuild the guild. Keltic, who has recently been a member of Aegis Imperium, left AI with these below quoted words posted in the Anno Domini thread. He also announced his intention to revive his old clan in the same post.

I’m bringing this back.

AI wasn’t for me, and I know what you fuckers are all going to say, and I say fuck you.

From what Keltic has been posting in his revived guild’s thread since then, he has 5 months of summer now to focus solely on the guild and getting it up and running again. He hopes to have it running and set up at a point, where if and when he has to take a break, the guild will be able to run fine without him for an extended period of time if need be.

For more information about this story and Anno Domini, please check out the Anno Domini thread in the guild section on MOFO.

Maleficarus Leaves FRC

Posted on 27 October 2009 by NNN Admin

Maleficarus, a long time member of the Frostreaver Clan, has decided to leave the clan. Maleficarus, who joined The FRC in February of 2009, wrote a post in The FRC guild thread on MOFO announcing his leaving:

Just to make this official I decided to leave FRC. Good luck to everyone in MO!!

In response to Mal leaving, Stewker gave this comment on the FRC forum thread:

Mal,

Really sorry to see you came to the conclusion to leave Mal, it was never my wish or anyone else’s. I wish you good luck in all your future endeavors. Both in the real world, and in the one of gaming.

-Stew

Maleficarus wrote an additional comment, thanking Stewker for the kind words and wishing The FRC good luck in MO or any other game they may travel to.

Some in the community appear to think that this was a staged event in order to theatrically put an end to the controversy that happened earlier in the summer between FRC and Praetorium of which Maleficarus was heavily involved. It may of been and it may not of, but what is known for sure is that Maleficarus, a known figure on MOFO, for better or worse, is gone from the Frostreavers.

Drama in FRC Thread!

Posted on 18 October 2009 by NNN Admin

Appears to be a scuffle going on once again in The FRC Guild Thread located on MOFO. From the looks of things it originated with Kio of Legion, making a post attempting to discredit FRC skill within the game.

Yep, you guys need to work on your tactics especially after last night.
God 8vs1, you must be embarrassed.

It has gone back and forth between Kio and FRC members culminating with a post by Stewker, giving the official FRC side of the incident.

All you were was an annoyance and a distraction from what we were actually trying to do… You would only attack our stragglers and when we would try to engage, you would run away or sheath your weapon and evade our attacks through your speed… Which is why we eventually ended up ignoring you and going on about our business…

When more details come to light, NNN, will be there to report them!
