OLD, CIR, and OL have put out a press release stating that they have destroyed Myrmidon's house in retaliation for Myrmidon's "grieving" of them and others.

OLD, CIR, and OL recently put out a press release stating that they have destroyed Myrmidon’s house in retaliation for Myrmidon’s “grieving” of them and others. Vaylgar, the thread’s creator had this to say in the original post.

Here is a video of the Myrmidon guild stone and house going bye bye from people they grieved in game taking some justice into their own hands.

The increase in recent reports of the organized destruction of guild and player housing, points to an increase in organized warfare in Nave. Where once there were simply roving bands of killers who were simply out to murder, there appears to be an increase of sides beginning to be taken and lines drawn. Overlords (OL) and Myrmidons, according to dicussion in the thread, had a low level NAP (nonaggression pact) with each other sometime prior to the destruction of the house. It can safely be assumed that, that is now not the case. Chavoda of Overlords mentioned this in regards to the relationship the two clans had during their neutrality pact, which is now void.

One may say that we were neutral at most due to the efforts of Silver.

We dint like some of myrm members even when we were neutral , mainly for there personal taste of communication. and there behavior ingame.
But being neutral does mean you at least act friendly toward people of said guild.

The plainly rude and insulting behavior just before OL and Myrms got into our current war status on the side of myrm only serves as a reminder that some people in this game never will be able to see the diference between friends and enemy’s as there ego is to high and there brains to small.

Myrmidon had many replies located in the thread in response the destruction of their house. Most of which centered around the facts that the attackers chose to attack their “defenseless” house instead of Myrmidon members and that even though their house is gone, it didn’t affect the guild at all as they never used the house anyways. Angarotu and Javelin of Myrmidon had this to say in the thread, respectively.

lol i like how the noob guilds banded together too kill the evil reds but since you failed at that you go after a poor defenseless house XD

and you couldnt even do it without exploits and speedhacks?
also the reason we didnt come to defend it is cause 1st off we didnt know 2nd we were out killing PEOPLE that fight back. we could give a fuck about the house i havent even been to it for a week. the only reason we build it is to check out the guild feature which still works so you managed to do… absolutly nothing since you cant even loot the house

grats on your great achievements

ROFL, k so you destroyed our house cause you can’t beat us in pvp? got it, good job? Then you made a video about it… cause if you didn’t suck in pvp you could of made one of killing us instead?

Pretty epic achievement imo really, wonder how many hours you guys were standing there swinging at an inanimate object wasting your lives away while we’re out having fun actually fighting people…

lol.

But yes excellent job, we are defeated!!! The innocents have been saved!!! You removed the one location we sometimes hang around thus removing any chance of ever finding us when you get around to growing some balls to fight us directly.

What oh what will a roving band of murderers do without a house?… I wonder :O.

hahaha, your post made me laugh, someone with rep + him for me would ya.

Myrmidon lost some items in the destruction, some armor and weapons that were stashed as backups and some ore and wood that were stored for an eventual upgrade of the house, none of which was important according to Neoxx of Myrmidon. He also went on to say that they have no plans at this time to rebuild the Myrmidon house as the guild chat function was woefully underused due to their use of ventrilo and that the storage benefits were hardly noticeable. When asked what overall response they have as a guild to the press release, he said this.

The only real response they deserve is to their several instances of referring to us as “grievers”. If they are such a powerful force, why are we causing them so much grief?

Some other responders to the press release have likened the destruction of Myrmidon’s house as a war declaration by ODL, OL and CIR on Myrmidon. The Nave world can and will likely see an escalation of hostilities between the mentioned clans, but if that is to be all out war, time will only tell. With this and other unknown quantity in mind, we at NNN decided to delve further into what happened to light the fire under CIR, ODL and OL to do this and what future lies ahead for all involved, including Myrmidons. Neoxx of Mymidons and Valygar the press release’s announcer were both sent PMs on the forum boards. Neoxx has been the only one to reply as of yet. Neoxx, when asked what they believe set off the attack and if Myrmidon plans to now declare war on their attackers, he had this to say.

We [see] this as a very cowardly act on their part. It appears to be a direct response to our actions against an OL member trying to enter my house a few days earlier, and his subsequent death. We have proven ourselves in battle, and this was their only way to portray any ‘victory’ over us.

There is not any formal declaration of war from Myrmidon, as we’re not politically motivated, its simply monetary. Actively seeking out a single group of people in this vast world would be too time consuming for an unworthy opponent. We won’t hesitate at any chance to kill them when we come across them.

The Mage Guild, Asatru, is going through some mild drama at the moment it appears. Luko, an Asatru member, has been kicked out of the guild for apparently disobeying the guild’s policies. The incident apparently happened in-game at one of the NPC towns. Luko, from what Aurastorm says in the Asatru thread, was calling “guard” on grey flagged players without provocation. Aurastorm called the incident, “faggotry”. He had the following to say in his guild thread.

Luko is hereby no longer in Asatru due to faggotry. The place that he is leaving behind will not be replaced with another member… ou called guards on numerous players that were grey for reasons that were not their own. That is not the honourable and respectable path we expect someone in Asatru to take, and you are therefore out of the guild.

We are an elite guild and we do not tolerate players that act like cocks in-game for no reason.
This is no longer up for discussion, carry on everyone else

Upon a request for more information by NNN via Mortal Online Forums private message, Aurastorm denied to reply to any of our inquires, as is his right. Luko, the accused, strongly denies any of the charges, even denying that he is even in the beta. NNN decided to go to Luko directly and he had this to say in a PM correspondence when asked about the incident.

I really have no idea where this is coming from, I don’t even play MO yet. I don’t like to be accused of things that I have not done. I don’t mind being kicked out but I would at least like some explanation other than ’sources within Asatru’. I haven’t even talked to any of them on vent or anything.

Its really dumbfounding.

Aurastorm, recently made a new post on the Asatru guild thread saying that he would be willing to keep Luko due to him not personally experiencing the incident. Saying he was sorry for any disturbance it may have caused to Luko.

Well, i can keep you in based on the fact that i haven’t actually seen this event unfold myself. Sorry about the disruption that it may have caused you

Luko has yet to respond to the offer, but after the words exchanged, it is the opinion of this writer, that any reunion will be a touchy one at best. As further developments happen, NNN will be there to report them. If you want to see this thread for yourself, please look for the Asatru Guild on MOFO’s guild discussion forum.
Trystram of Variance released a thread detailing a "glorious world first", the destruction of some homes.
"Operation Crispy Sausage"

A couple of weeks ago, November 13th specifically, Trystram of Variance released a thread detailing the “glorious world first victory” of the destruction of some homes. They called it “Operation Crispy Sausage” as it took place near Sausage Lake.

The guilds of Variance, RPB, Mahtisoturit were all involved in the operation that occurred near the shores of Sausage Lake. Two homes were destroyed in the raid and reduced to ruins. The deed was carried out soon after the housing patch was released and was done solely with starter axes.

The two houses fell easily too our naked bodies and mighty starter axes.

Trystram posted pictures of the operation in the act and the resulting destruction. This writer does note though, that the pictures detail an earlier version of the housing system. The house models and ruins in the pictures that are posted, are no longer in use at this time. The posted pictures range from people actively hitting the houses to the resulting destruction and shots of the ruins.

As expected by everyone I think, the posts following Trystram’s original vary from support, to condemnation, to whining; as is the nature of MMOs. Some condemned it due to the fact that this is beta, giving the reason that for testing purposes these players should have been allowed to finish their homes. This front was led initially by forum poster, Zizzy.

I never raged over internet but this is a perfect time to start.

WHY THE *CENSURE* ARE YOU *CENSURE* *CENSURE* DOING THAT?! IT’S NOT JUST A TOWN, IT’S FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME YOU’RE GOING TO PLAY.

We have to build a crowded city so that we can see how can a server handle that, and improve the game. You’re just destroying it for everyone.

I HOPE YOU’LL SIT ACCIDENTALLY SIT ON YOUR BALLS SOMEDAY. GOOD DAY SIR.

Other posters, gave their support for the operation. Such as Khyaine, the lead Community Moderator.

Except that the entire mechanic needs to be tested. It’s all part of a full loot, full pvp game.

We couldn’t have achieved the same result if people built close together – didn’t build half finished homes – worked as a team to achieve their objective.

If you place your foundation down in the middle of no where to reserve your spot and to be the quickest in getting a house built, you will, without any doubt whatsoever, find your nemisis, your opposite, looking for that house to destroy.

Five naked guys with zero skills and newbie axes brought down two houses within about half an hour. That’s some really important testing right there if you ask me.

I’m sincerely surprised to see the complaning. It’s all part of this game. This is what you’ve signed up for.

To see more about this thread, please check it out in the Mortal Online Political Forums. Within the thread you can find the pictues posted by Trystram and other various participants of the operation. In addition you will find quite a few more opinions and accounts of what happened that night. If you have any comments about this article, please leave a post below!

A thread has been created in the politics forum on MOFO detailing that forums inactivity level.

A thread has been created in the politics forum on MOFO detailing that forums inactivity level. Riddle of The Drunken Beggars Clan was the threads original poster and writes his views about the level of activity. He goes on to mention that despite the hard work that went in to creating the forum in the first place, it is highly underused.

Listen up.

We need to rethink the way we’re treating each other. Theres not enough smack talk going on for my liking. I hate to harp on about that utter dross of a game Darkfall but if there was one thing it did have was a pre-release e-peen swinging arena which was really fun.

St Judas and the other red shirts spent an awfully long time trying to get this forum for us and the least we can do is create posts for him to moderate!

Entertainment levels goes up, or else. Be ye warned.

His post is overall very tongue in cheek, but in the opinion of this writer, he brings up some solid points as do the other posters in the thread. A sandbox survives on it’s community. If there is no community interaction, you will not have a successful sandbox MMO. Admittedly you cannot force someone to create drama or bring up something to talk about, but as he says, “Entertainment levels go up, or else. Be ye warned.” The success of MO will depend on it’s community and time will tell.

The alliance, Kindred Haven, and the guild, Archetheon, have agreed on a treaty between their respective organizations. A set of agreements that both parties appear to be calling The Amicus Treaty. From posts located within the Kindred Haven forum thread it appears that, at the very least, the treaty includes a trade agreement of some kind between their two organizations. The below post was made by Kurtmo of Kindred Haven addreseed to Escalante, leader of Archetheon.

‘m happily aware of the trade provisions made in the Amicus Treaty, Escalante. All that need be discussed now are the particulars, I should think, though we’ll have to wait until there are particulars to discuss them…

Keltic, the original founder of Anno Domini, has decided to revive and rebuild the guild. Keltic, who has recently been a member of Aegis Imperium, left AI with these below quoted words posted in the Anno Domini thread. He also announced his intention to revive his old clan in the same post.

I’m bringing this back.

AI wasn’t for me, and I know what you fuckers are all going to say, and I say fuck you.

From what Keltic has been posting in his revived guild’s thread since then, he has 5 months of summer now to focus solely on the guild and getting it up and running again. He hopes to have it running and set up at a point, where if and when he has to take a break, the guild will be able to run fine without him for an extended period of time if need be.

Enerzeal of Kindred Rising has unveiled The Kindred Haven in a thread in the guild section of MOFO.

Enerzeal of Kindred Rising has unveiled The Kindred Haven in a thread in the guild section of MOFO. Here is a sample of the Kindred Haven Charter. First paragraph is as follows:

One corner of the world of Nave, where the many peoples of the world can gather under one name, one flag. One corner of the world of Nave where you shall not be judged by your birth, or your status, but by your actions alone. Gather under the name of Haven, and be who you want to be without fear of reprisal. Haven is the dream of the Kindred, brought into existence by the Harbinger and the Kindred Rising, wielded by the Patriarch. Those who walk through the streets of Haven will follow the words in this charter, lest there blood be spilled where they stand, there life ended by their arrogance.

From what this reporter has initially deciphered is that The Kindred Haven is largely a type of alliance. Admittedly an alliance with many features and options for it’s members. With so many people harping on zerg lately on the forums, we can only wonder how the reception to The Haven will be received in the long term. Despite Kindred Rising’s hard work on creating the concept of Haven, only time will truly tell. For more information about this announcement, please check out the Kindred Haven thread in the guild section on MOFO.

Maleficarus, a long time member of the Frostreaver Clan, has decided to leave the clan.

Maleficarus, a long time member of the Frostreaver Clan, has decided to leave the clan. Maleficarus, who joined The FRC in February of 2009, wrote a post in The FRC guild thread on MOFO announcing his leaving:

Just to make this official I decided to leave FRC. Good luck to everyone in MO!!

In response to Mal leaving, Stewker gave this comment on the FRC forum thread:

Mal,

Really sorry to see you came to the conclusion to leave Mal, it was never my wish or anyone else’s. I wish you good luck in all your future endeavors. Both in the real world, and in the one of gaming.

-Stew

Maleficarus wrote an additional comment, thanking Stewker for the kind words and wishing The FRC good luck in MO or any other game they may travel to.

Some in the community appear to think that this was a staged event in order to theatrically put an end to the controversy that happened earlier in the summer between FRC and Praetorium of which Maleficarus was heavily involved. It may of been and it may not of, but what is known for sure is that Maleficarus, a known figure on MOFO, for better or worse, is gone from the Frostreavers.

Earlier today DeathPatrol also known as General Deimos had announced that Phalanx will be leaving the ranks of Oblivion Nation

Earlier today DeathPatrol also known as General Deimos had announced that Phalanx will be leaving the ranks of Oblivion Nation. This is a bold move on Phalanx’s part mainly because they are a small guild and not that well known. This is what Phalanx had to say to Oblivion Nation.

This is to let everyone in ON know that Phalanx is officially stepping out of the Nation. The main reason is we feel that ON has focused more on Aion than Mortal Online, Personally I have no interest in this game at all, I was under the impression that ON would concentrate on MO, it’s BETA and then playing that game once it launched. From what we have seen that focus has switched to Aion, again we have no interest in playing this game in BETA or at launch.

We wish the Nation nothing but luck in what you do, you were professional and courteous at all times and we appreciate your support and votes while we were applying.

May you crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women!

Deimos

It seems that Oblivion Nation still has to respond on Phalanx leaving. With Phalanx leaving the numbers of ON are slowly dwindling everyday. While this is no real news for those people that keep up with the political scene, as ON hasn’t really had much of a presence of late in BETA, or on the forums. All that can be asked now is, what is next for Oblivion Nation and what will Phalanx do now, if it can survive in Nave.

Escalante of Archetheon, a new guild on the forum, has created a post proposing smaller guilds to join with his in a guild merger.

Escalante of Archetheon, a new guild on the forum, has created a thread in the politics section of the guild discussion forum proposing smaller guilds to join with his in a guild merger. The reasoning Escalante gives is that to be able to compete with the more established guilds on the forum, (AI, FRC, Variance, KR, etc) a merge should happen as there are to many guilds currently competing for members with no hope to get the players needed to be a major force.

Many of the respondents within the thread are not overly enthusiastic about the idea, while Escalante is doing his best to defend his position. Respondents have a wide range of opinions on Escalante’s plans and the propsal. Everything so far from calling the merge proposal the creation of a zerg, accusing Archetheon of simply trying to propose this in order to obtain more members for his own guild, and just saying that merges don’t tend to ever work very well.

Escalante has replied in kind to most of the critics giving his explanation and counter-points to the arguments.

What do you think? Do you agree with the proposal or disagree? Leave a comment below!
For more information about this post, check it out on MOFO in the guild politics section.
